6:30 pm - 8:30 pmShades of Jazz returns
for its fourth season in the Museum’s Sculpture Garden. Legendary
guitarist John Scofield presents the most recent sensations on the
international jazz scene and jams with them at the end of each
performance. Shades of Jazz continues a summer tradition of picnic dinners and complimentary beer and wine.
On June 4, John Scofield presents jazz drummer Matt Wilson, whose
accolades include “Best New Artist” by the New York Jazz Critics
Circle; winner of the 2004 Modern Drummers reader’s poll; and
nominations in 2004 and ‘06 as Jazz Drummer of the Year by the Jazz
Journalists Association.
